Finished in correct code J Rangoon Red, which was the single most popular color on the Sport Roadsters for good reason, it looks every bit like the expensive luxury car that it was in 1962. Even the massive trunk lid, which pivots from the rear on massive hydraulic rams, fits neatly and sits flush. Fantastic restoration, ready to drive or show Power Windows

It’s brilliant, a deep, rich red that isn’t orange, isn’t pink, but a pure red that seems deep enough to swim in. The red paint on this car isn’t how it was delivered (that would be code F, Gulfstream Aqua), but when it was repainted a few years ago, they chose the most perfect red we’ve ever seen. 302 V8 power, great color combination, recent power top Bucket Seats✔ AM/FM

Raven Black is this car’s original color and the sheetmetal on this roadster is extremely straight, so obviously there’s a ton of time invested in getting it right. Panel fit is quite good for a Thunderbird, although in typical Thunderbird fashion, the door bottoms protrude a little bit. Black is unforgiving in that regard, and it’s good to see someone was willing to go the extra mile AM/FM

For pure style points, we love the custom leather belts holding the hood in place, and the simplicity of the 2-door phaeton body style. Door fit is better than anything Henry Ford was building in 1931 and we love the simplicity of the look with no extraneous chrome, no door handles, nothing that will get in the way of going fast. Super solid southern car with 100% original steel bodywork. Power steering and automatic transmission, upgraded stereo. Affordable mustang fun! This tidy little mustang coupe was used to prototype an electric power steering system for unisteer, so there’s a lot of recent work under the skin to make it a first-rate driver. It’s wearing a respray in its original code p prairie bronze and has an honest, no-nonsense look that’s actually quite appealing in a world filled with red and blue mustangs. Better yet, thanks to living its entire life down south, rust is a total non-issue, even in the cowl where these cars can be particularly problematic—not here! The doors fit well, the hood closes with a gentle push and even the tough-to-fit trunk lid does indeed lineup perfectly with the quarters. Entry level doesn’t have to mean “project car.” we especially like the bright and airy code 29 palomino interior, since it contrasts nicely with the prairie bronze paint and lends the car an upscale vibe. Certainly the carpets are replacements and the dark floors are a good way to anchor the interior without it being white overload. The factory gauges are bright and crisp and they all appear to be functional. There’s also a newer am/fm/cassette stereo neatly installed in the center of the dash with no cutting required. The dash pad is probably too nice to be original, and things like the headliner and package shelf are in great shape. The trunk is neatly outfitted with a correct plaid mat set, including a matching cover for the full-sized spare. Yes, we know, the v8 cars get all the attention but with seven main bearings, the gutsy little six is turbine-smooth and a glutton for punishment. This one runs superbly, always starting easily and idling well and it zips through traffic just as well as its v8-powered siblings. It’s wearing a proper red air cleaner and valve cover on a black engine block, just the way ford was doing it in 1965 and there are reproduction decals throughout the engine bay to make it look right. New wiring, a fresh alternator, and correct details like tower hose clamps all make this car feel loved, not neglected. There’s awesome service access under the hood and it’s cool to have power steering but not have any of the pumps, hoses, and fittings that are constantly leaking on cars with traditional setups. That slick little six is backed by a c4 3-speed automatic transmission that’s a great choice. It’s unobtrusive in daily use and with well-chosen gear ratios, it lets the six do its thing to the best of its abilities. Thanks to the power steering conversion, all the front end components are new, including the tie rods, making this car a tidy little handler. Manual drum brakes are plenty adequate for the car’s relatively light curb weight and there’s a recent exhaust system that has a pleasing six-cylinder grumble that’s endearing. This is a very clean little car. Finally, it sits on stock steel wheels and familiar mustang spinner hubcaps, along with a set of 14-inch whitewall radials that have plenty of life left in them. Look at the solid bodywork, the nice detailing, the handsome interior, and the great driving experience, then check the price. This is the going rate for clean, no-stories mustangs and given their rising values, it’s a great time to get behind the wheel of an icon. Life always seems better from behind the wheel of a vintage mustang. AM/FM

Runs and drives superbly, no issues, ready to enjoy and show! This neat little roadster is definitely going to wow the crowd. Most folks won’t know the difference anyway. We like the exposed hinges, which helps with the illusion, and we’ve found that in most cases, the fiberglass bodies fit better and feel more substantial than the original steel ones, and that’s certainly the situation here. This car feels robust and durable going down the road, not flimsy and rickety like so many others. The color is simply called “medium red” and it’s by ppg, so it has an awesome gloss and a hint of metallic in it so it just glows in the sunlight. A familiar ’32 grille shell up front, a chrome windshield, and a few details like the chrome spreader bars and ’39 ford taillights with leds inside make this one look familiar and unique at the same time. The interior is as nicely finished as the bodywork, with a handsome gray leather bench seat that’s more comfortable than most compact roadsters. Even for drivers of standard stature, it’s comfortable enough to spend the day behind the wheel and the workmanship is quite good. The dash is painted to match the body, as it was in 1932, and there’s a sparkling engine-turned panel full of simple round gauges from classic instruments. It folds neatly and stows under a color-matched burgundy canvas boot so it looks trim, top up or top down—not many rods get that part right. There’s also a power-actuated trunk lid and a fully upholstered cargo bay, which also holds the battery for easy access. That’s a vintage 327 that’s been fully rebuilt and outfitted with such niceties as a 4-barrel carburetor, hei ignition, and some block-hugging shorty headers. It makes 50 pounds of oil pressure at idle and there’s a fantastic v8 burble from the twin tailpipes out back, but it never gets annoying. Note the smoothed firewall, the clean frame rails, and real stainless braided hose, not just slip-on covers, all details that make this little ford stand out among its peers. It’s extremely impressive! It’s also comfortable under almost any conditions thanks to a tci 700r4 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, so it’s effortless on the highway. The frame is a custom-made piece, complete with the unique 1932 fender line in the outer rails, and it’s fully boxed for strength. All the hardware was painted to match the body or chrome plated to really sparkle. It’s been driven about7000 miles since it was completed, so there are a few signs of use, but most of them could be erased with a bit of detailing on a saturday afternoon. Disc brakes on a dropped front axle with a leaf spring are a familiar sight, while the rear is held up with a 4-link suspension and coil-over shocks. Polished weld aluminum wheels recall the vintage “kidney bean” mags of the ‘50s and it carries a traditional big-n-little tire combination. We love the look, we love the simplicity, and we love the price. Note: this car is titled as a 1932 ford. Air Conditioning✔ Aluminum Wheels

Runs and drives very well, gorgeous paint and interior. First, this model a just looks right. The green bodywork with black fenders and wheels is elegant and simple, just as it should be. The darker belt molding holds a cream-colored stripe, just enough to make it look dressed up but not over-done. Finish quality is exemplary, likely better than new, with a fabulous gloss to the paint, excellent panel alignment, and a lot of attention to detail. All i can remember is how pretty it is. I'm pretty sure that the brightwork is chrome, not nickel, and that might offend the most pure of the purists, but it's low maintenance and most folks won't know the difference. The fluted headlight lenses are in exceptional condition (i do not believe they are reproduced) and there’s a single drum-style taillight out back. Inside, there's correct black leatherette upholstery that's as simple and durable as the car itself. There's some minor wear in the driver's seat, but otherwise it's unmarked. The center-mounted instrument panel is a little scuffed, but it includes a pop-out ignition switch, which was standard equipment but few restorers bother with them these days. The convertible top is in excellent condition and folds for open-air motoring, although it is easier with a friend and the car looks great top up or down. We have recently flushed out the gas tank, installed all-new ignition components, including coil, condenser, points, and plugs, plus a new battery. Judging by the quality of the work during the restoration and the obvious purist intent, i'm disinclined to believe that it's modified, but this little guy sure wants to go! There's a big whack of low-end torque off the line and it zips along at 50 mph without seeming to work very hard, leading me to believe that there are at least some high-speed gears in back. The engine block is wearing correct ford green enamel and it uses all the right parts, from the zenith updraft carburetor to the two-blade fan to the original 6-volt generator. The only modification i can find on the entire car is the fuse on the starter, but that's just smart so no penalty there. Correct hose clamps, a leather wrap on the water pump, and proper cloth wiring make it look very authentic. The three-speed manual transmission will teach a new old car driver how to double clutch, and with light pedal action and easy shifting, they'll pick it up quickly. The mechanical brakes are effective for what they are, and again, they'll teach a rookie how to manage an old car with limited abilities. I love driving this car! The chassis is nicely detailed with mostly black painted hardware, just the way it was in 1929, and yes, those are wooden floor boards, which were original equipment. I also love the black painted wire wheels and proper 21-inch lester blackwall tires, which is how a model a should look—simple but not plain.

Very clean, original car. Factory paint and interior, original 390 thunderbird special v8, newer top. Clean, straight, recently serviced so it runs and drives great! First and foremost, that’s 98% original code a raven black paint on this big galaxie’s flanks. Nobody has been slathering bondo over gaping holes, nobody has been using a can if krylon to hide rust spots, and everything fits together just the way the factory did it in 1966. We buffed the original enamel, which brought out a very nice period shine that looks great even up close. As i said, there are signs of age and use that are unavoidable, but i don’t think they affect the car’s overall appeal one bit. The factory trim is entirely original, from the simple grille to the long sweep-spear along the sides to the jet-inspired taillights that were a ford trademark for many years, and it all has a very consistent, all-of-a-piece look. We also like the red interior, which is always the best choice with a black car and every clue we can find says that’s an original interior. There are some popped seams on the pleats, but there are no major tears or splits and both bench seats remain comfortable for long cruises. The steering wheel shows some age but isn’t cracked or broken, another big plus, and even the horn ring is still in great shape. Everything appears to be functional save for the clock and the original am radio, which has been supplanted by a more modern am/fm/cassette unit installed neatly under the dash. Overhead there’s a white power convertible top with a glass rear window, and it is probably a replacement piece since it’s way too nice to be 51 years old. It folds effortlessly and stows under an easy-to-install vinyl boot that matches the interior. Now this isn’t some garden-variety galaxie with a little 289, no, this is the big one with the 390 cubic inch “thunderbird” v8 that makes all that sheetmetal feel 800 pounds lighter than it is. The official numbers are 315 horsepower and 427 pounds of torque, and from behind the wheel, it feels plenty strong. We don’t believe the engine has ever been out of the car, so it’s like the numbers-matching powerplant, although ford didn’t stamp numbers on the block to verify it. Recent work includes a rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump, rebuilt distributor, a fresh alternator, and a professional tune that makes it run superbly. Turn the key and it starts without a fuss and idles smoothly even when it’s cold. Someone did their homework here. The transmission is a cruise-o-matic 3-speed automatic and according to the door tag, there are comfortable 3. 00 gears in the 9-inch rear end, so it’s a fantastic car to take on long road trips. Power steering and brakes mean it’s easy to handle under any conditions and it sits on factory steel wheels with optional wheel covers and fresh 215/75/15 whitewall tires. This car also includes a set of polished stainless steel fender skirts that have probably been with the car since it was new. Look at the photos, then look again at the price. Full-sized cars with big block motors and awesome color combinations just don’t get any more affordable than this. AM/FM

Fresh six-figure professional build. 302/auto, a/c, rust-free tub, all the best off-road hardware. The best early bronco we've ever seen! Starting with a remarkably clean tub from colorado, it was stripped bare and rebuilt from there with virtually every part being bolted to that tub being brand new. The bodywork was finished to a level usually reserved for vehicles that weren’t designed to get dirty, and the flat bronco bodywork is particularly demanding simply because every surface reflects like a mirror; there’s just no place for bad bodywork to hide here. There’s also a smittybilt wireless winch on the front bumper, complete with synthetic cable that’s stronger and safer than steel, and a pair of kc led running lights perched out there on the front of the grille guard. Most of the brightwork was powdercoated satin black, including the door handles, wiper arms, and even the bronco script emblems, which really tie it all together. We haven’t had many vehicles that can attract attention like this big yellow bronco. A tuffy center console was installed and the pioneer am/fm/cd/usb/mp3 stereo was hidden inside and there are speakers stashed throughout the interior. Vintage air supplied the a/c system tucked under the dash and the entire roof was lined with dynamat to help control heat and noise inside the cabin. This is one bronco that doesn’t feel loose and crude. A full roll cage was installed for safety and both a fire extinguisher and a jack were affixed to the cage out back. The engine is a brand new 5. 0 crate motor from atk, rated at a nice, round 300 horsepower. It’s topped by a holley 4-barrel carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, and a fairly aggressive cam lives inside, giving it a gnarly idle and plenty of mid-range punch. There’s a giant howe aluminum radiator up front, so slow going in the mud isn’t going to stress the engine, and an electronic ignition system fires it reliably under all conditions. With only 262 miles on the build, it’s broken-in and fully sorted, but still brand new so there are no signs of use under the hood. The frame was painted satin black, and most of the components that were bolted on were painted to match. Experts might not recognize the front rack, which is the very first power rack-and-pinion setup from uni-steer, and it transforms the handling and feel of the bronco from primitive to state-of-the-art. The brakes, booster, hoses, rotors, calipers, drums, and all the hard lines under the truck are brand new and custom driveshafts were built just for this truck. A c4 3-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt with a heavy-duty b&m shift kit and it feeds a fresh dana 20 j-shift transfer case with high and low ranges. The front axle is a dana 44 with 3. 54 gears and a detroit tru-trac limited slip, while a heavy-duty ford 9-inch was built with 3. 50 gears and another tru-trac diff, making this a very formidable truck in the slippery stuff. Hedman ceramic-coated long-tube headers feed a custom flowmaster exhaust system with tips that exit right behind the rear wheels, giving this bronco a fantastic soundtrack that’s more mustang than utility vehicle. Custom powdercoated mickey thompson classic aluminum wheels carry giant 33x12. 50-15 dick cepek tires that ride and handle surprisingly well. Documentation is extensive, including receipts, build photos, and even a spreadsheet showing expenditures of about $72,000 just in parts, never mind the labor and time to put it all together. Fortunately, it looks like this one has all its original bodywork and has never been wrecked or rusty, so the doors fit well and the big expanses of black paint on the quarter panels and hood are smooth and ripple-free. Code A Raven Black is this car’s original color and we believe that the car has been repainted once, perhaps 10-12 years ago. Sure, there are a dozen ways to get a plastic 3-window but 100% steel cars like this bright red Ford will always live at the very top of the Ford food chain.
